bd Systems to Provide Support in Definition of NASA’s Crew Launch Vehicle First Stage

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama, 21 June 2006 – bd Systems, Inc. announced today that it has been selected to provide engineering analysis and design support to ATK Launch Systems on NASA’s Crew Launch Vehicle First Stage development program managed by the Marshall Space Flight Center.

“We are pleased to be able to provide our space engineering expertise and know-how in support of ATK and NASA’s Vision for Space Exploration” said bd Systems President and CEO Clarisa F. Howard. “As a result of this additional work, 13 bd Systems engineers are now working on the Crew Launch Vehicle at Marshall”. Currently, bd Systems work ranges from flight dynamics, to the Systems Integration Lab buildup, to CLV First Stage Project support.
