bd Systems Selected for Management and Technical Services to the
Defense Meteorological Satellite Program at the Space and
Missile
Systems

TORRANCE, California, 21 April 2006 – bd Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the competitive award of a contract valued at approximately $5.0 million by the USAF Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) at Los Angeles AFB, California to provide management and technical services to the Defense Meteorological Satellite (DMSP) Program Office. The award was made under bd Systems’ Technical Assistance and Support Services (TASS) blanket purchase agreement.
bd Systems brings almost 20 years of SMC prime contractor excellence managing and performing 230 delivery orders under TASS and predecessor contracts. “We are proud to re-join the DMSP program team and are gratified in the confidence expressed by the program office in our ability to transition an incumbent team, maintain service continuity, and achieve high levels of customer service and support to this important national weather program,” said Ms. Clarissa Howard, President and CEO of bd Systems.
bd Systems and its teammates Booz Allen Hamilton and Teledyne Brown Engineering, will provide configuration/data management and management services staff to the program office at Los Angeles Air Force Base, at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado and at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
