bd Systems is under contract to provide Systems Requirements Analysis (SRA) to Boeing for the 2nd Generation Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV) program. Through this process, bd Systems will establish requirements for the next generation shuttle, identify architecture to meet safety, reliability, cost and performance goals. The goal is to reduce risk, leading to a full scale development decision in 2005. SRA supports system requirements and system analysis studies, including mission analysis; defines functional and performance requirements; supports architecture and risk reduction studies, and performs systems integration and verification tasks.
