CALTRANS TFA selects bd Systems to review their business processes 

OAKLAND, CA, April 2003 – Due to the evolving modeling methods and new technologies, the California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) Office of Travel Forecasting and Analysis (TFA) determined they needed to carry out a thorough review of their business processes, the tools and technologies that support those processes, and the roles and functional responsibilities of their staff. To guarantee an objective business process review, TFA selected bd Systems as an independent, third party consultant, to perform the review and to report their findings and recommendations for improvements. The bd E&IT team brings to this project a broad knowledge of business practices and state-of-the-art developments at State DOTs, experience in transportation information systems and facilitating organizational change at transportation agencies, and a firm understanding of modeling fundamentals and technology.
