bd
Systems San Antonio Group developed the SENSOR PHOENIX
database. SENSOR PHOENIX is a relational, all-source technical
and operations intelligence database. It uniquely consolidates
an array of separate, validated national and other pertinent
sources of information into a single, easy to use database
tool for rapid knowledge creation. It emphasizes Command,
Control and Communications (C3) datalinks and related weapon
systems. The database contains individual modules on Special
Signals, Radar Signals, Radio Equipment, Weapon Systems, Automated
C2 Systems, and an extensive Bibliography, which provides
sourcing at the field level of each record. The relational
construct enables users to quickly access a record from the
Weapons Systems module, for example, and then from there go
to related records in the other modules. A toggle can be activated
to filter the database modules between a global access
and a country specific access. SENSOR PHOENIX also contains
thorough narrative modules on various countries and contain
sections on a Country Overview, the Armed Forces Structure,
and the C3. User friendly browse, search, and sort routines
are incorporated into the database. (Moved to here from below)
Recently, bd Systems applied its web expertise to web-enable
SENSOR PHOENIX. This makes the tool applicable to a global
market for virtual organization operations.
SENSOR PHOENIX software and database
contents are maintained by bd systems under contract to prime
aerospace integrators for the Air Force Distributed Common
Ground System operations. bd Systems can employ the software
and database relationality and web enabling methods designed
into Sensor Phoenix for other DoD or commercial information
management applications.
