Systems Planning, Design and Implementation is the
effective application of scientific and engineering efforts to
transform
an operational
need into a
defined system configuration through an iterative process of requirement
analysis, functional analysis and allocation, synthesis, design
optimization, test, evaluation and validation.
bd provides direct technical services to the Air Force Space and
Missile Systems Center (SMC), as well as the Air Force Program
Executive Office for Space (PEO), through the Technical Acquisition
Support Services (TASS) contract. bd provides Systems Engineering
support to Boeing, TRW, and other major aerospace contractors in
developing DoD and NASA space systems. Acquisition and sustainment
technical support is also provided to the space system support
groups in Colorado Springs.
Examples of bd Systems' experience:
Our Accomplishments:
-
Selected as small business prime to lead in revitalizing in-house
engineering capabilities for USAF Space and Missile Center (SMC)
in Los Angeles, CA
- Creating systems engineering infrastructure; defining/implementing
common technically disciplined engineering process framework
- Wrote the comprehensive Systems Engineering handbook used by
all SMC Program Offices to guide space system acquisition
- Established center-wide technical/acquisition infrastructure
to meet SER requirements
- Lead for developing web site tools
- Building syllabi, and conducting trainingto certify systems
